''Pomponia'' is a genus of cicadas from Asia.〔Metcalf, Z.P. 1963. General catalogue of the Homoptera. Fascicle VIII. Cicadoidea. Part 1. Cicadidae. Section II. Gaeaninae and Cicadinae. i-vii, 587-585. – North Carolina State College, Raleigh, North Carolina.〕 A group of species previously placed in ''Pomponia'', containing the largest cicada species found on earth, have recently been moved to ''Megapomponia''.〔Boulard, M. 2005.
